Summer is a'comin'.

So I was reading Emily's blog about how she's super excited about school being over soon and it reminded me of something.  I have my graduation ceremony in just over one month.  Sheesh!  Because I've officially graduated already, it's like the semester has just crept up on me.

I'm really excited about the graduation because that means my family will be here.  I know that I just saw them last month for an afternoon because of Jase's wedding festivities, but I'm excited to see them again.  We're finally going to take another family picture, too, which will be fabulous.  I'm pretty sure it's been since I was in high school since we've done that.

Yesterday's run was on a trail that we've never been on before.  We're so blessed to live in an area where there are always trails around- even in the city.  However, this trail was chosen because it runs adjacent to the house of one of Jake's professors.  It was very beautiful... but had many more hills than we were used to.  I know it's good for us to experience different types of trails so that we are ready for anything on marathon day, but it wasn't really that fun for the first half.  The second half was mostly downhill (on our way back), so that was nice.  But then I swallowed a bug because we were running by water most of the time and there were tons of warms of bugs.  It definitely caught me off-guard.  Nasty!  Today Jake and I will need to run separately, which is a bummer.  I forgot until this morning that I have class tonight (a class I'm auditing) so I won't really have time to run with Jake after he gets off work.  To that I say... BUMM-ER.

I thought the trail was chosen because it was one we could run from the school (which is where we had to begin) that was different.

AND because we thought we might see my professor's house.
