Stories

I'm trying really hard to be optimistic.  I feel like I've been crabby for the past couple of weeks.  I know that this schedule is really just wearing on me since I go half of the week only seeing Jake for 3-4 hrs a day if I'm lucky.  The rest of the week I'm home alone in need of social interaction.  I've done what I can to be proactive about being around people, but it's still hard when most people work during the day.  This extrovert is simply in need of people!  So anyway, I'm trying really hard not to keep whining, because I know it's certainly not helping anything.  I'm also trying really hard to keep my blog more positive, because I know that reading someone who is constantly crabby is pretty annoying too.  Just know that I'm working on it!

Here are a few stories from work that have been interesting.
-Denzel Washington came into our store.  For real.  Except he's in high school, and isn't actually the actor.  But it was still fun.
-A kid puked in the store within the past couple of weeks.  It was disgusting.
-We had a couple of (probably 10 year old) kids steal some glow-sticks, but they most definitely got caught.  It was fascinating.
-On the above note, people steal WAY more often that I realized before.
-The power in our store went out yesterday for around 5-10 minutes.  There is a 24hour Fitness near us that was working on some things and it lost power for most of the stores on that strip.  We had to try to continue business in the dark, but I couldn't ring people up for a while since the computers rebooted and it took forever for it to reload.  It was weird for a bit.

Fun stuff.

do you think some people were running on a treadmill at 24/7 fitness and when the power went out it instantly stopped and they smacked into the bar in front of them?

i sure hope not. though that would be very funny.

That's a hilarious thought.
