Doggie Days

This past week Jake and I dog-sat for a couple of labs.  They are such pretty dogs!  We had a great time with them, but we certainly did start to notice how difficult it is to have dogs when you have a busy schedule.  We were constantly running around and the poor dogs probably lacked attention.  First off, here are a few pictures of the beautiful dogs we watched, Riley & Gracie.

After the week was over, we chatted about what we discovered and decided about owning a dog.  Here's a small list.

1. We really like labs and still want one, but are sure that we only want one big dog.
2. We are going to limit the rooms that our dog is allowed to enter.  Even short-haired dogs shed all over the place.
3. We're more sure that we want to get a leather/fake leather couch because dog hair comes off it much easier. (Although we're still not sure if we will allow them on any furniture at all.)
4. Dogs take as much work as I expected.
5. I don't really enjoy being woken up early in the morning to take the dogs out and feed them.  Pretty sure that means I'm not at all ready for a dog or a baby.  I like my uninterrupted sleep right now. :)

Fun stuff.

Anyway, we still want a lab.  They're great dogs!
