I just got an email yesterday that the job I was finally hopeful about (since it was the first internship position I held) is going to be given to someone within the company.
I understand that I can't really fight that. It's just that I technically haven't even received a phone call or interview yet about a job and it's real frustrating. I've officially applied to 25 jobs now and have not received one phone call.
Grrrrr. Boy do we need income...

The job market is tough and I know it can get discouraging - hang in there!
Have you ever thought of doing something on the side while you look? I ask because I worked doubles at Biaggi's until about 2 weeks before Gabriel was born, and that plus a little income from tutoring Greek was super helpful in pulling us through while I was in grad school.
Yeah, I've been applying everywhere. I just applied today for a leasing agent with our apartment complex company. I've also been applying with a temp agency. Thanks though.
Good idea on the temp agency. They can be super helpful. I know Joel has done temp before, and I did that the same time as Biaggi's. At one point I got offered a full-time job through them. I never liked looking for jobs at ALL(just thinking about it makes me nervous), so hopefully this is a short season for you guys and something good comes up soon!
